Boshof farmer stable after shooting incident
Boshof - A 69-year old farmer from Boshof in the Free State who was shot on his farm this morning is in a stable condition in the Mediclinic Gariep in Kimberley.
He says his father could not see how many people were in the car and what model it was, but police are searching for five black suspects.
Hospital spokesperson, Denise Coetzee, says Douglas Pope has been admitted to the hospital’s emergency unit. He is kept under observation.
Pope’s son Douglas told OFM News that his father was shot in the stomach at around 08:15 this morning when he got out of his bakkie to open his farm gate, at a public gravel road. Douglas says police and local farmers are still searching the area.He says his father could not see how many people were in the car and what model it was, but police are searching for five black suspects.
