A Port Elizabeth police Warrant Officer is recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital after being shot during a late night shootout in Zwide yesterday.
The officer is currently In a stable condition. His partner was also shot in the bullet proof vest during the shooting.
One suspect was arrested on the scene and a manhunt is currently underway for three men who escaped.
