Black protesters burnt two vehicles in the streets of Pretoria CBD on Friday
Two municipal vehicles were torched by black protesters in central Pretoria on Friday morning,police said.
Spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said this happened at Sammy Marks Square.
“The situation has calmed down as police managed to stop the protest. No injuries were reported,” she said
The protest took place in Lilian Ngoyi, Sisulu and Helen Joseph streets.
“We do not know what the protest was about, but we are investigating. No arrests have been made.”
Selepe said Pretoria central police had opened a malicious damage to property docket.
