A restaurant manager recently shot in the east of Pretoria has not yet regained the use of his right arm.

Conrad Liebenberg’s fiancĂ© Lalucia van Niekerk said he was discharged from hospital last week after he was shot outside O’ Sole restaurant atKimiad golf course last month.

“Conrad is recovering well but is in a lot of pain. This is a difficult time as he still cannot use his right arm.”

She said the 24-year-old Liebenberg was due for a check-up on 10 March.

“We have to see the police so Conrad can make a statement today (Thursday),” Van Niekerk said.

She told Rekord that Liebenberg was still very traumatised.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said the shooter was still at large.

“No arrests have been made as yet and we are following up on leads.”

After the shooting, last month, the golf course manager Jana Jones said the shooting appeared to have been meant as a warning to the owner of the restaurant.

“From what I heard, Conrad said the man who shot him shouted that it was a warning for his boss.”
