Black protesters have again taken to the streets of Sabie and became malicious very early in the day
SABIE – Although protesters have calmed down, the town has still not been opened for traffic.
This follows after service delivery protesters have took to the streets this morning. They expressed their anger at the limited availability of electricity and housing for the residents of Sabie and surrounding areas.
Police barricaded the town as protesters had burnt tyres in the streets, making driving in its streets impossible.
Several images of burning woodpiles and vehicles are being shared on Facebook. Please avoid all roads and areas around town. More info will be shared on this page as it becomes available.
