#Kidnapped: Update: Video: Kidnapped Afrikaner man relives hostage ordeal

GEORGE NEWS - Daniel Janse Van Rensburg, the 49-year-old aviation broker from Hoekwil outside George who made international headlines when he returned from a two year stint in jail in Equatorial Guinea (EG) last week, today addressed various national media during a Skype press conference hosted by George Herald in the paper’s newsroom in George Industria.

 

The video call and press conference was organised by freelance journalist and family friend, Fran Kirsten who covered the story for George Herald and the other Group Editors papers over the last 21 months.

 

During the press conference an emotional Janse van Rensburg often had to collect himself and wiped away the tears as he spoke about his ordeal in Black Beach jail in EG and how on several occasions, his hopes to return to his family and country of birth were raised just to be dashed time and again.
