Jesus sets the example for us to follow in His footsteps and when we love our enemies, turn the other cheek to those who hate us and pray for our persecutors we come face to face with Christ, who suffered for all people and prayed even for those who mutilated Him...♡
But He strictly warned and admonished them not to tell this to anyone, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected [as the Messiah] by the elders and chief priests and scribes (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court), and be put to death, and on the third day be raised up [from death to life].” And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake, he is the one who will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God].

metaphorically the spiritual temple consisting of the saints of all ages joined together by and in Christ...
We now have a spiritual temple:
Acts 7:48: Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet
Act 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands
Mar 14:58 We heard Jesus say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands,
☛and within three days I will build another made without hands.☚
MATTHEW 26:61 “This Man (Jesus) said, ‘ I am able to tear down the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the Ghost. And, behold,
☛the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent☚
Matthew 27:50-51
Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is One greater (Jesus) than the temple.
Now this is how we worship God in the spirit:
JOHN 4:24 God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev 7:15-17 Therefore are they (in spirit) before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His (spiritual) temple: and He (Jesus) that sitteth on the throne shall (in Spirit) dwell among them.
16 They shall (spiritually) hunger no more, neither (spiritually) thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

The body of a born again Christian is the temple of God, baptized by the Holy Spirit... The Holy Spirit is our only Pastor/Priest... !!! (1Cor 3:16, 2Cor 6:16; 1Cor 3:17)
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 ☛Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin (#Antichrist) be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; ☛☛so that he as God sitteth in the temple (made with human hands) of God, shewing himself that he is
