13 April 2016: TWO families living on smallholdings just outside Port Elizabeth were this morning terrorised by a gang of panga- wielding robbers who broke into the properties, which are located a mere 2km from each other, in the space of two hours.

The first attack took place at 1am and saw the homeowner fight off the attackers with a spade.

At about 3am another homeowner was injured when he was also attacked with a panga inside his house.

The man then turned on the attackers, wrestling the panga away from them.

He is currently receiving treatment in a Port Elizabeth hospital.
