Port Elizabeth police are searching for four suspects who attacked and robbed a couple on their small holding in the Greenbushes/Seaview area.
Captain Johan Rheeder says the perpetrators broke into the house in the early hours of Wednesday morning and tried to attack the couple with a panga.
The 57 year-old complainant managed to fight back and his arm and hand were cut in the struggle for the weapon. Rheeder says one of the suspects was also wounded and they took flight, taking with them only the woman's cellphone.
A 30 year-old man has already been taken in for questioning
