Residents in Naboomspruit in Limpopo have been protesting over poor service delivery since Monday night.

“One of them was a house belonging to the husband of the Major and other belonged to the councillors accused of being loyal to the municipality,” says Limpopo Police spokesperson, Colonel Ronel Otto.
Otto adds that about 22 suspects have been arrested for public violence and malicious damage to property.
“Last night, reports were also received that foreign shops have been looted,” she says.
The situation in the area is calm, the Public Order Police (POP) has been deployed to monitor the protests.
