An unidentified black terrorist approached the pair, demanding their valuables and shortly thereafter opened fire on them.
ER24’s Werner Vermaak says the man managed to get out the car and flag down passing motorists for help.
“The driver of the vehicle explained that an unknown black attacker walked up to them and demanded their valuables. They then handed everything over to the man and as he walked away, he returned and opened fire. The lady in the vehicle was shot in the stomach – she sustained critical injuries - and the man in the vehicle sustained two gunshots wounds, one in the upper leg and one in the lower leg.”
Paar helder oordag langs pad geskiet

“Ek kon voel hoe die koeël deur my bobeen gaan en hoe die warm bloed afdrup, maar ek moes my vrou red. Die SWART TERRORIS het op haar afgestorm toe hy sien sy was op die foon.
“Hy het op haar geskree om die foon vir hom te gee. Sy het dit gedoen en toe skiet hy haar in elk geval in die maag. Ek kan nog hoor hoe die skoot afgegaan het en my vrou snak na asem terwyl sy in die stoel inmekaar gesak het.
“Ek verstaan steeds nie hoekom hy haar geskiet het nie. Sy het die foon vir hom gegee, maar toe skiet hy haar nog steeds."
