Cape Town - The trio hit the business at 05:50, said police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana.
“According to reports, three unidentified suspects entered the store and threatened the staff with knives and an axe. They robbed the staff [members’] cellphones and locked them in a walk-in fridge and forced the manager to open the safe,” she said.
“When the manager couldn’t open [it], they took cartons of cigarettes and fled the scene.”
No injuries were reported and no arrests have yet been made, Rwexana added.
