#ATTACK: Armed black attackers assaulted residents in two separate invasions

Armed black attackers assaulted residents in two separate home invasions in Durban this week, leaving at least one man seriously injured after the attack

Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said a Glenwood resident was letting her dogs outside her Glenville Grove house when she was ambushed by three men who had forced open the driveway gates. The incident occurred at 8.37pm on Tuesday evening.

“The men entered the house and assaulted her husband, leaving him unconscious. He sustained severe injuries to his head during the incident. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital,” he said. “The robbers fled with a flatscreen television and the keys for the resident’s vehicle.”

The SAPS Durban Central Flying Squad attended the scene of the crime.

Earlier on the same day a gang of three robbers armed with firearms invaded a home in Debengeni Road in Waterfall at around 10.45am. “The armed robbers forced open the front door and held up the home owner and his family. They then proceeded to assault the resident on his head. The robbers fled with televisions, cellphones, tablets and a gaming console as well as jewellery and the resident’s vehicle,” he said.

Hillcrest SAPS attended the scene of the crime.

Jackson advised residents to be vigilant and to always keep doors and gates locked and to switch on external security beams at night.

“Criminals stake out their victims before striking so it’s important to live a security conscious lifestyle. he said. http://www.bluesecurity.co.za/armed-robbers-assaulted-residents-in-two-separate-invasions/
