Capt Jethro Mtshali, Kempton SAPS spokesperson, confirmed that five armed suspects entered the Marignane Street home at about 3am and tied up the couple.
The suspects made off with the victims’ car, a bright red Proton Savvy 2006, as well as two firearms that were locked in their safe.
The incident was posted on the BBP Community Watch Facebook page, which said the suspects also stole other house items such as a plasma TV, two cellphones, an iPad, two laptops and jewellery.
In the same post, it is said two men were seen jumping walls on Arlanda Street on Monday night at about 9pm. Investigations continue and police request anyone with information to contact them on 08600-10111 or SMS the crime line number on 32211
