The bakkie was stolen after Mr Goettsch was attacked by black attackers at his farm, Wild Duck Vlei, near Hattingspruit on Monday evening.
He suffered four gunshot wounds. His brother, Alko, was shot in the leg.

The bakkie was stolen after Mr Goettsch was attacked at his farm, Wild Duck Vlei, near Hattingspruit on Monday evening.
He suffered four gunshot wounds. His brother, Alko, was shot in the leg.
He was transferred to Albert Luthuli Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
One of the cellphones stolen in the attack was found at the Church of Scotland Hospital in Tugela Ferry.
Investigations continue and police are still searching for the men responsible.
