■ Hijacking/Armed Robbery: Esnembe – KwaZulu Natal
At approximately 17:54 yesterday afternoon members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to a farm in Esnembe after receiving reports of a hijacking and armed robbery.
Upon arrival Officers were met by an individual who explained that while driving his Toyota Hilux bakkie, which was loaded with groceries, he was accosted by three armed suspects who hijacked him of his vehicle. The suspects drove with the victim to a nearby residence where they held up an Indian couple in their home. The suspects stole cellphones, a plasma TV and other house hold items which was loaded into the back of the bakkie. The victims were then tied up. The suspects attempted to drive off in the bakkie but for some reason were unable to move the vehicle. They then abandoned the bakkie and fled on foot with the electronic equipment.
Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspects however no arrests were made.

■ Tue-05-Apr-16 (17:54) Three suspects hijacked a driver on a farm in the Esnembe area and with the victim still in the vehicle moved to another nearby residence and overpowered an Indian family. Suspects loaded the vehicle with electronics and and a plasma TV but could not get the vehicle to start forcing them to flee on foot with their loot (KZN, Esnembe)
