SABC exposes sale of illegal vehicle documentation at JMPD

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has uncovered the illegal sale of vehicle documentation at a notorious Johannesburg testing station.
The SABC news crew fraudulently secured a car licence disc and the owners' particulars for just over R1000 at the Langlaagte testing station.
One Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) official is under investigation after the scandal was exposed.
The official in question is expected to be charged later this week.
The Langlaagte testing station is said to be fraught with corruption and the fraudsters working with JMPD officials to sell car papers illegally is one such corrupt practice.
JMPD says it is not ruling out the possibility that more corrupt officials will be implicated in the vehicle documentation scandal.
