On Saturday night at about 21:15 a resident opened the front door to let her dogs out. Four suspects forced their way into the house. They pushed her back and immediately went to the bedroom and opened fire on her husband who had their one-year-old baby in his arms. He was busy feeding the baby.
They then fired two more shots at him and also shot at her.
Their seven year old little girl miraculously escaped through the open front door and ran to the back of the property where she was found hiding after the suspects left.
They fled with a large amount of expensive equipment (Flat screen TV’s, cell phones, laptops), a large amount of cash as well as a firearm and ammunition. Thank God no one was injured as the suspects again walked in and opened fire without any hesitation. They aim to kill.
The Iron Fist Squad responded and searched the area. At one stage they saw the four walking on a deserted path in the veld and tried to get to them through the veld but the suspects simply disappeared. They know every pathway. The teams searched for hours to no avail.
