The anti-racism action forum (Araf) would be laying 22 criminal charges against former apartheid president FW De Klerk and apartheid minister of law and order Adriaan Vlok.
“Araf shall lay the charges for crimes committed against black people for which the tw didn’t get amnesty at the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission),” said spokesperson Zandi Radebe.
She said the forum would lay further complaints against De Klerk at the SA human rights commission.
“Araf will be launched at the Hillbrow police station [Johannesburg] tomorrow [Wednesday] at 11:00.”
Adriaan Vlok was granted amnesty by the TRC in 1999 after he admitted to committing crimes, including the bombing of the SA council of churches’ headquarters.
He also admitted to bombing the Cosatuheadquarters.
Araf says it is a campaign against racism by anti-racist civil society organisations, political parties, revolutionary movements and individuals.
