The body found on Glenashley Beach on Monday
A body of a man was found hacked by an axe which was found near the body on Krishna Road at 6.45am last week.
Spokesperson for Greenwood Park SAPS’, Warrant Officer Leon Audh said members of the station were on duty at the time and received a call from control stating that a person had been murdered on Krishna Road off Chris Hani Road.
“Upon their arrival, members noticed a crowd surrounding a body. They were informed by the community that the person had in fact been killed. Whilst checking the body members noticed that he sustained serious injuries to the front and back of his head. An axe and brick was also found next to the deceased and handed into exhibits. The body was taken to Phoenix mortuary. We urge anyone with information to please contact Det/Cst C.S. Khuzwayo on 072 085 2933,” said W/O Audh.
Then on Monday around midday, another dead body was found washed up on Glenashley Beach. Details surrounding the cause of death is unknown at this stage however police are investigating and trying to find the family of the deceased.
