A 50-year-old woman was brutally assaulted when two unknown men dragged her from her driveway into a nearby veld in the Moot.
Corma Du Plessis said she had just driven into her driveway last week when she was approached by two men.
“I got home, shut down my car and opened the gate. As I was about to get back into my car to drive in, two guys grabbed me from behind and dragged me into the veld near the house. One of them got on top of me. He rolled up a T-shirt and closed it over my mouth so I couldn’t scream.”
She said the man started to hit her in the face. His accomplice entered her car and started to reverse.
“Luckily they didn’t know where the anti-hijack button was so the car started to beep. The people that I live with heard this.” Du Plessis said.
She said the man on top of her had already started to unbutton her trousers.
“The car beeped again and one of the tenants came out of the house. The men then ran off.”
The men fled with her car keys and her handbag which had her wallet, bank card, cellphone, glasses, camera.
Du Plessis said she suffered severe bruising to her face.
“Every muscle is sore and I’m blue in the face.”
A case was opened at the Moot police station.
