A home for Alzheimers and dementia was searching for Margaret Mashiane after an 83-year-old woman was allegedly brutally assaulted last month.
According to the home, ADCare in Equestria, the elderly woman was kicked on the legs and hit in the face, suffering serious injuries.
“She is not doing well. Her neck was swollen and her wounds are looking very bad,” said the facility manager who wished to remain anonymous.
Mashiane (37) apparently did not return to work after the assault was reported.
Silverton police spokesperson Captain Jan Sepato said they visited her Mamelodi home but she was nowhere to be found.
“The woman apparently went back home to Kwa-Mhlanga where police will be visiting the address. A case of assault is being investigated.”
