When you are not filled with God, it is sweet to eat your enemy.
We can only #LoveYourEnemies if we are free from the Old Covenant: #LawOfMoses & entered the New Covenant with the #NewCommand to Love (#John13verse34to35; #John15verse16to17; #John15verse12; #1John3verse23; #Matt5verse43to46).

One of the most jarring sentences in the Bible goes like this: "If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing" (1 Corinthians 13:3). It jars us because Jesus said, "Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13); and he taught that one of the ways to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us and bless those who persecute us is to give freely of our possessions (Luke 6:27–30). But here Paul says you can give everything away and even lay down your life and yet not be acting in love. You can make the final sacrifice and be lost for ever.

Christians must never forget Love is an essential part of the process of salvation and even if you give your body to be burned in the service of your agenda and have not LOVE for one another, you gain nothing. The only faith which saves is "faith working through love" (Galatians 5:6). Saving faith always gives rise to love and love gives evidence of genuine faith.

Galatians 5:13-15 For you were called to freedom (free from the yoke of the Mosaic Law / #LawOfMoses), brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh (the animal nature with cravings which incite to sin: sin is to violate and or wander from the #LawOfGod delivered by Jesus in the #NewCovenant: #NewCommand: #John13verse34to35: #SacrificialLOVE all people as per #Gal5verse22to23 including #LoveYourEnemies #Matt5verse43to46), but through LOVE serve one another. For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “You MUST LOVE your NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF". However, if you continually bite (metaph., injure, to wound the soul, cut lacerate, rend with reproaches) and devour (to ruin by the infliction of injuries) one another, beware that you are not consumed (destroy) by one another.

💛 》》#neighbor: the Greek translation is: #plÄ“sion / #plhsion (G4139) = according to Christ any other man irrespective of nation or religion with whom we live or whom we chance to meet. In the New Testament parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus used the term "neighbor" figuratively, expanding its meaning to include all human beings, even someone who is considered an enemy (#Matt5verse43to46 #LoveYourEnemies)....

▪John 15:12 Jesus said: " My commandment is this – LOVE one another as I have loved you".
LOVE all people incl. #LoveYourEnemies. Treat all people with kindness & humility whether in word, deed or thought & forgive those who hate & kill you...
