Louw's body was found by his wife. His hands were tied with shoelaces and it appears as if he was strangled. He also had other injuries.

Sixty-eight-year-old Louw du Plessis’s body was discovered in his house in Flap Street by his wife Rose when she returned home from work, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mpeile Talane said.
“His hands were tied with shoelaces and it appears as if he was strangled. He also had other injuries.”
Louw’s cellphone, a safe containing a firearm, and his Nissan NP200 bakkie, loaded with watermelons were missing.
The bakkie was later found abandoned in Letlhabile. “It is alleged that the victim was last seen with his two employees, whose whereabouts are currently unknown,” Talane said.
Louw’s wife Rose is the matron of the Rusoord Old Age Home.
The police are requesting anyone with information that can assist in the arrest of the suspects to contact Sergeant Leonard Thoboka on 071 674 8763.
