Farm murder: Friday 13 May 2016 11pm - Farmer Friedel Filter, 72, was reportedly shot dead by 2 black gunmen on his farm Braunschweig, in the vicinity of the German community of Lüneburg outside Piet Retief, KZN.
According to the farm-watch radio network, he had been declared dead by 11pm. His 'robbed' Isuzu bakkie was recovered. At least two black males were involved, both armed - who fled on foot. A black male was also shot in the community where the attackers had fled to from Mr Filter's farm (details are still being awaited) - and now the two terrorists are being sought by a large number of farmers and police after they fled into the veld.
