report by Thando Kubheka Eye witness news 6 May 2016 -- Johannesburg – It's now up to the Constitutional Court to decide who will have the final say over government schools' admissions policies.

The Federation of Governing Bodies of South Africa (Fedsas) is challenging the Gauteng Education Department's systems, arguing they are removing power from the schools which should be able set their own processes.

Yesterday, the court "reserved judgment in the matter" after hearing arguments from the department, school governing bodies (SGBs) and Equal Education.
The department has argued that the policies set by SGBs constitutes indirect discrimination based on race.

The schools' bodies say "if government is in charge of the admissions process it would result in the unfair discrimination of children with special needs."

"Equal Education" also made their submissions, saying that "the department should be tasked with overseeing the entire system as they have a bird’s eye view of the province’s schools."

At the heart of this court battle is ensuring that no school policy can stand in the way of pupils accessing education.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY OF THE WAR AGAINST THE AFRIKAANS LANGUAGE AND THE PEOPLE WHO SPEAK IT:
Black students "demonstrating against the use of Afrikaans "at the University of Pretoria, say money spent on providing for the language could be better spent elsewhere.
Students gathered at the institution’s main gate, where they clashed with police.Police fired rubbers bullets and students threw stones. While the university has embarked on a process to review its language policy, many say the process is simply taking too long.
The Economic Freedom Fighters’ Lungile Sonwabo says funds used to enable the university to provide courses on both English and Afrikaans could be better spent.
“That money can be used for bursaries and residences, because they are always complaining that [they] can’t accommodate more people and lease more buildings, but there is still money that is being used.”

October 2013: ANC regime wages warfare against Afrikaans children. Are these tiny kids really a ‘threat to race relations in South Africa?” —
On October 7 2013, a local ANC councilor in Heidelberg, Gauteng is allegedly organizing his supporters to lay siege to the Volkskool Heidelberg’s children,
the parents are being warned. And this violence against Afrikaans children is nothing new.
It’s been an integral part of the ANC’s ongoing political campaign against the presence of all Afrikaners and their language in South Africa.
Free State University rector Jonathan Jansen: “Afrikaans-dominant white schools represent a serious threat to race relations’…
On September 18 2013, the racist rhetoric was stepped up with a virulently anti-Afrikaans speech by Free State University rector Jonathan Jansen. He ‘warned’ in his widely reported speech to the English Academy of South Africa that ‘Afrikaans-dominant white schools and -universities represent a serious threat to race relations in South Africa.”
His entire speech – which has outraged and also terrified the small, highly visible Afrikaans community – can be read in the original English on:
http://www.volksblad.com/nuus/2013-10-02-prof-jansen-se-volledige-toespraak
Three weeks after Jansen’s speech, a deeply mysterious armed attack took place against 108 Afrikaans primary-school children and their 10 teachers during an “Outreach’ camp-out in Sabie, in the beautiful Lowveld of South Africa:
Within three weeks after Jansen’s monstrous hatespeech, this violent armed attack took place against these 108 Afrikaans children and their 10 teachers of the Hennopsrivier Primary School choir in Centurion. The group – a choir — had just arrived at a camping-resort in Sabie, in the beautiful Lowveld of South Africa, to attend an Outreach programme. That same night the children were attacked at 2am by three black men, one armed with a rifle, two brandishing cocked handguns at them. These men clearly also were not familiar with the place: they had first gone looking for Christo du Plessis, the Afrikaner manager of the holiday resort amongst the local workers. When they couldn’t find his cottage, the three black gunmen had stormed into the five cottages where the children were asleep with their teachers, ordering the adults to wake up the children ‘so that they could be robbed’.
Why would nervous, armed gunmen want to wake up 108 sleeping pre-teens – perhaps to create a panic among the children?
This was extraordinary behaviour: why would gunmen even want to wake up 108 sleepy pre-teens? Did they hope to create a panic which would give them the excuse to start shooting? It didn’t work: thanks to the courageous behaviour of one male teacher, who spoke calmly to each of the children and explained to them that they had to hand over all their valuables, and that they must stay calm…
The police said that these men waving their guns had ‘told the children they did not want to hurt them’… Their ‘loot?” from this supposedly ‘wealthy’ group of Afrikaans kids?
14 cellphones, a laptop, some cheap costume jewelery. Very slim pickings for so much trouble: and clearly its purpose was not ‘robbery’ — it was terrorism. If and when these thugs are ever caught, and if somebody even thinks of asking them this question, they would deny it. But this was a clear message to Afrikaans parents everywhere: ‘stop educating your kids in their own language, or this will happen to you, too…’
The ANC’s war against Afrikaner children now has clearly been stepped up to an increasingly violent level — ever since its launch from June 6 2006 when black ‘striking teachers’ started aggressively invading Afrikaans classrooms, terrifying the children during exam times, physically fighting with parents and teachers who had rushed in to stop them, and screaming their battle cry: “Comrades we are going to war’: and when large groups of aggressively screaming black adults storm into a classroom of defenceless primary school children, these are acts of pure terrorism. Not only are they physically aggressive but they actively deny these children an education. And that’s illegal under international law.
Genocide Watch “Afrikaners are in Stage Six out of eight stages of genocide”
These events prompted the head of US-based Genocide Watch, Dr Gregory Stanton to announce that the ‘Boers’, the ‘Afrikaners’ of South Africa, were already listed by his organization as being in stage 6 out of the 8 stages of genocide. He wrote: “Julius Malema must be removed as leader of ANC youth league… he is a violent Marxist-racist just like Winnie Mandela. We will update South Africa to being in Stage 6 (of the 8 stages) of genocide: “: HE
has no personal reason to hold a grudge against “whites”: he was only four years old when the ANC-regime took over hegemony of South Africa. Ever since early childhood, though, he has been a very active ANC-supported propagandist who has never held down a proper job in his life. He was raised in an agressive township atmosphere in which kids grew up with games like this one, called the ‘execution game’, in which kids are taught to execute whites…
In 2006, he threatened to launch an ethnic-cleansing campaign of all white-owned properties: farms, smallholdings, homes and to nationalise the mines: shouting: ’Comrades, we are going to war. We are going to war for radical policy change.”
He was since then, supposedly ‘fired’ from the ANC youth league and now runs a straw-party with identical slogans. But make no mistake: Malema’s battle-cry has the full approval of the ANC-regime itself. A quick glance at their own website will convince anyone who can read, that the ANC has in fact never abandoned its quest to ethnically-cleanse all the whites from South Africa’s entire landscape.
The ANC’s anti-white obsession is overwhelming: so virulent that by 2013, legal experts noted that the ANC regime has already adopted more than 100 anti-white laws barring whites from land-ownership, from most participation in the job market, from owning businesses: but their ‘special treatment’ has been meted out to the Afrikaners, who are being demonized at every turn, their small communities invaded because they want to live together for their own safety — and Afrikaners are even being denied the basic human right of teaching their own children in their own home-language.
This demonisation campaign even included false rape-accusations against Theuns Botha, the former headmaster of the Afrikaans Hoër Volksskool in Heidelberg.
Mr Botha was acquitted of all charges, but the targeted media campaign throughout his trial managed to blacken his good name forever. On June 20 2011, Beeld Afrikaans daily journalists Alet Rademeyer and Wolfram Zwecker wrote that the headmaster of the Afrikaans High Volksskool in Heidelberg was found not guilty ‘of all seven sexual charges against him: the Appeals court judges Ben du Plessis and Lettie Molopa were in agreement ‘that the State was unable to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the charges were true.”
But was the falsely-accused Mr Botha ever reinstated in his job? Clearly not: the current and undoubtedly equally capable headmaster’s name is Henjan van der Hyde.
Groblersdal parents wage battle with striking civil servants at Christian Afrikaans School:
Wednesday, August 25 2010 – Afrikaner parents, hearing that striking civil servants were planning a violent occupation of the Christian Afrikaans school in Groblersdal, called on commando-volunteers to help protect the school property http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Gn-water-vir-dorp-na-skare-aanleg-beskadig-20100824

Thousands of Afrikaners pupils reportedly were terrified by threatening, foot-stomping, screaming and aggressive strikers: August 23 2010 – Parys, Free State.Scores Afrikaans schools were attacked by large, aggressive groups of strikers. One of the worst attacks was fought off by angry parents at the HF Verwoerd Primary School in Bloemfontein, who were waiting and organised to wage battle who were protecting their young children, terrified and crying in their classrooms inside. Fists were flying, reported Volksblad. “Auntie we were very scared and sang songs for our dear Jesus so that He can come and help us,’ said eight-year-old Laetitia van Zyl, her eyes red from crying. “Of my friends were more frightened than I was. They cried more. We tried to sing louder than the bad people, but we were very, very scared..’ A large number of Afrikaans schools were attacked last week, and by Monday, many parents were keeping their children at home while others organised protection-units and took the children to school in ordinary street clothes to prevent them being attacked on the streets by the large, rolling masses of ‘striking’ government workers running through the streets…(Note: Naspers has removed all these stories from its website since that time but its original link was

2010:
2010: Black teachers invade Afrikaans primary schools with slogan: 'Feel it, it's War'...

19 September 2010 PRETORIA. André Alkema of the Afrikaner Education Directorate (AOD) warns that the South African regime's co-ruling Troika-member, the Cosatu trade union movement, wants to have all private-schools closed down. He warns that this would undoubtedly also greatly endanger the future of all Christian-Afrikaans schools.
"Why?" Alkema asks. "Whatever happened to ‘democracy’ and ‘minority-rights’ if the parent of a child is not allowed to carry out his primary task and responsibility, namely the education and nurturing of his child? Those rights are internationally acknowledged and honoured. But not in South Africa.
Why?

South Africa is a failing State:
According to recent warnings by Afrikaner historian Professor Sampie Terblanche, South Africa is a ‘failing State’ – noted the AOD – and this failure runs throughout all the governance levels: from the central government right down to municipal levels, state-departments and also education, which over the past two months saw the disgraceful spectacles countrywide where tens of thousands of aggressive, violent ‘protestors’ from the Cosatu trade union movement and the Congress of South African students had invaded mainly Afrikaans-language schools, attacking pupils and teachers and forcing them to stop studying for their final-year exams.

17 AFRIKAANS SCHOOLS ATTACKED AND TEACHING DISRUPTED BY VIOLENT BLACK DEMONSTRATORS:

The black demonstrators, teachers and pupils incided by students from the Congress of SA Students violently disrupted exam studies at 17 Afrikaans schools countrywide – including the Parys and Senekal Afrikaans schools “because their pupils refuse to join the riots’. The black demonstrators demanded that before sitting their exams, they first wanted an extra 25% points added to their examination results.

Picture: Afrikaans schools were invaded by aggressive, striking black teachers with placards such as “Feel it, it’s War’ and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with angry Afrikaner parents who were protecting their terrified young children – for example at the Parys Primary School, Volksblad quoted one child as saying: “Auntie we were very scared and sang songs for our dear Jesus so that He can come and help us,’ said eight-year-old Laetitia van Zyl, her eyes red from crying. “Of my friends were more frightened than I was. They cried more. We tried to sing louder than the bad people, but we were very, very scared..’

“Minorities worldwide have the right to manage their own cultural affairs – except Afrikaners” – Alkema.
Alkema: “The Afrikaner still carries to largest tax- and municipal rates-burden — but yet we have no veto-rights over our own cultural and educational affairs, a basic right which is usually granted to minorities worldwide.” The AED warns that “the Afrikaners have the right to raise their own children in their own culture and language, according to our own Western traditions and Christian religion.”
The AED wants Afrikaners to regain their own control over their own educational facilities, which now are rapidly being anglicised and overrun by ANC-government-run structures “which officials are enemies of Afrikaners and their culture” and openly pronounce their support of Marxism-based socalled ‘critical pedagogy’.
