A Rooihuiskraal resident narrowly escaped death or serious injury when a bullet from a suspected robber's firearm skimmed his shoulder. The resident saw 4 b/males fiddling with his neighbour's gate and confronted them by shouting at them. One of the suspects pulled an firearm and fired a shot at the resident, missing vitals narrowly. The 4 suspects then fled in a Charcoal VW Jetta.We urge residents to rather not get into a confrontation in circumstances like this, as this is proof that these criminals will shoot when confronted. A Rooihuiskraal resident was almost seriously injured when a burglar shot at him on Saturday evening.
Centurion Concerned Citizens (CCC) spokesperson Hannes du Buisson said the resident saw four men fiddling with his neighbour’s gate.
“The resident shouted at the burglars. One of the suspects pulled out a firearm and fired a shot at the resident,” said Du Buisson.
He said the bullet grazed the resident’s shoulder and the four men fled in a charcoal Volkswagen Jetta.
“We urge residents to rather not get into a confrontation in circumstances like this, as this is proof that criminals will shoot when confronted,” said Du Buisson.
Du Buisson advised residents to rather contact security personnel or police.
