The Biesiesvlei community in North West was being plagued with livestock thefts. So the police were on the lookout.
Lt col Sabata Mokgwabone said that police found a sheep carcas in the trunk of a 58-year-old police officers vehicle. He could not give a satisfactory explanation as to how the
slaughtered sheep happened to be there, so he was arrested.
He's appearing soon in the Lichtenburg magistrate's court. And the Potchefstroom police also arrested another two people for stealing 18 heads of cattle
when a police officer had gone to a specific site, acting on a tipoff, posing as a buyer. The two suspects were arrested near Swartdam Potchefstroom during the 'transaction'.
Theose two will be appearing in Potchefstroom's magistrate's court.
