24 Free State farmers in police-cells after 2 black-racists -- who attacked 83-year-old Afrikaner farmer Lodie Van der Westhuizen -- were shot dead:
8 January 2015 -- The Front National legal advisor says that initially, four Afrikaner farmers who had allegedly shot dead two black attackers to protect 83-year-old farmer Lodie van der Westhuizen during a farm-attack - were locked up summarily for 'murder' and were all refused bail.
Advocate Carlo Viljoen also said that then some 20 Afrikaner farmers who showed up outside the Parys Magistrate's Court to support their locked-up colleagues, were also arrested -- and will only be able to apply for bail after the weekend.

In an -- apparently -- seperate development-- (the reports seem different in many aspects?) -- the Netwerk24.com 's journalist Alet Van Der Walt also reported on 8 Jan 2016 that in Parys (Free State) "An elderly farmer from the district Weiveld was attacked on Wednesday 6 July by two (black) males when he arrived at his farm-house. The farmer's daughter Alet Rademeyer said the two blacks ambushed him. Her father only saw one of the attackers -- who
forced the old man to unlock his door and 'demanded money'. He was identified as "Loedie van der Westhuizen (73)' by the Beeld journalist.
She wrote: "While Mr van der Westhuizen and the one attacker moved down the hallway, the farmer pushed the emergency button.
The black man "got frightened" and pistol-whipped Mr van der Westhuizen across his brow 'before fleeing'. Mr Van der Westhuizen required stitches to close up the wounds on his brow and he also sustained injuries to his arms.
