LIMPOPO – Desmane Adams Clark (20) was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Lindie Bosch Jansen (35) in the Bela Bela Magistrates court on Tuesday.
On the 18 October Jansen was attending a 60th birthday part of a family member when she was stabbed by the suspect during an attempted robbery said Provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.
“While she was carrying goods to her car nearby… her two sons aged 10 and 7 with her when the Clark approached and attempted to rob her. She screamed and he stabbed her with a knife,” explained Otto.
She later died in hospital. The suspect was arrested a few hours after the incident.
He pleaded guilty during his last court appearance and was sentenced on Tuesday concluded Otto.
