LIMPOPO - Three suspects were arrested on Monday following the murder of an elderly Afrikaner woman on the Sweet Mist Farm near Haenertsburg in Limpopo.
The body of Anna Katarina Langenhoven (67) was discovered by a maid.
Langenhoven's hands were tied behind her back and her mouth taped shut with sellotape.
"Three suspects aged 45, 35 and 32 were arrested at Mshongoville village at Mentz Mankweng (BLACK VILLAGE) in connection with the murder," Limpopo police spokesman Colonel Ronel Otto said.
Otto said one of the suspects is a former employee.
"Stolen items that were taken from the house during the incident -- including a laptop, radio, television and cellphones -- were found in their possession."
The men are due to appear in the Polokwane magistrate's court on Thursday on charges of murder and house robbery.
Limpopo's provincial commissioner Lt Genl Fannie Masemola congratulated the team of detectives and intelligence members from Haenertsburg and Mankweng on the swift arrests.
