#ATTACK: Convicted violent black criminal released AGAIN after brutal attack on another white woman

BEV was violently attacked, smashed on the head with a rock, throttled to the ground & robbed on 7 December
■ He was not only found in possession of all of Bev's possessions by FOUR witnesses, but also had commenced an assault on the occupant of the shack, an elderly Elizabeth Louw (who has both feet bandaged and is not mobile).

He has multiple prior convictions for contact crime and housebreaking and at this current time he is OUT ON PAROLE for an 8 year sentence for the VERY SAME OFFENCE - AGGRAVATED ROBBERY for which he was found guilty in 2009 (he should be serving until 2017)

URGENT ATTENTION LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!

As most of you are no doubt aware my wife Bev was violently attacked, smashed on the head with a rock, throttled to the ground and robbed of her handbag and phone on Monday afternoon 7 December outside First Friends in Lilford Road at 17H55.

Immediate help and SSP/HBNW action ensued and the perpetrator, BONGANI MANASSE (pictured) was apprehended within minutes in a shack in IY.
He was not only found in possession of all of Bev's possessions by FOUR witnesses, but also had commenced an assault on the occupant of the shack, an elderly Elizabeth Louw (who has both feet bandaged and is not mobile).

Two Deep Blue guys and JJ assisted me in securing this violent psychopath and he was transported to SAPS where he was charged later on Monday evening (by Guido for assault and damage to Guido's car whilst pursuing him before we arrested him).

Bev and I secured our charges on Tuesday with a house visit to Bev from SAPS (she was also not mobile as a result of the attack) and Bev and I have spent Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday putting our lives "back to normal".

I also spent a large portion of those days doing detective work, getting the docket up to scratch, investigating and getting Ms Louw to lay an assault charge too (he broke into her home and assaulted her as we found him).

Another chunk of today was spent trawling Wynberg course to find which court his case would be heard in and finally Mr Thinus Groenewald, a senior state prosecutor invited into his office and we had excellent rapport and he advised me on due process, assuring me the accused would stay in custody.

He was suitably impressed with the quality of the evidence and statements in the docket as well as the enormous community support generated by ALL OF YOU from Hout Bay and friends outside of Hout Bay by way of the 14-page petition to oppose bail for this man.

I left the court around 14H00 feeling that I had achieved the first step of the objective, to see justice served and this menace removed from society.

In light of the fact that bev had her first day up again and we had achieved this small victory, we headed out for sundowners and a light dinner to put this behind us and move on.

Halfway through dinner I see a FB notification (from another prosecutor at Wynberg) that he was sure the accused was RELEASED!

A subsequent SMS (as promised on follow up of the case) from Mr Thinus Groenewald before he goes on leave tomorrow, says in highly embarrassed and apologetic speak that the magistrate in Court 4, Wynberg elected to disregard the heightened objections of the courts prosecutor and released the accused because he had been held for longer than 48 hours before appearing in court.

This despite the prosecutor pointing out that the accused had NOT been held in excess of the stipulated period in terms of actual OPEN COURT hours.

So without further ado fellow folk of Hout Bay, I submit to you for consideration the fact, that despite our very best efforts from community level, to professional security staff and a few diligent police officials that we are henceforth ON OUR OWN.

Pictured below is the accused BONGANI MANASSE, a black male of about 35 years of age who resides in IY.

He has multiple prior convictions for contact crime and housebreaking and at this current time he is OUT ON PAROLE for an 8 year sentence for the VERY SAME OFFENCE - AGGRAVATED ROBBERY for which he was found guilty in 2009 (he should be serving until 2017).

I urgently appeal to our community to lodge complaints to mgroenewald@justice.gov.za and to drossouw@justice.gov.za please

The case number is #38/12/15 Hout Bay

I have reached the end of my tether on driving this any further and I need YOUR help please!

Thank you

BE AWARE - BE FORWARNED - KNOW THIS MAN IS DANGEROUS!!!
