KEMPTON Park SAPS is looking for a woman who was reported missing on Thursday.
Anna Dorothea Wilhemina Stassen (78) was last seen at her home in Spekboom Avenue on Wednesday morning, according to Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali.
According to Stassen’s son Gideon, he last saw his mother leaving the house on Wednesday in an unknown vehicle.
“After family and friends attempted without success to get hold of Stassen since Wednesday, they became worried and called the police,” Mtshali explained.
After visiting the home on Thursday, police opened a missing persons case.
“We have launched a manhunt for the missing woman. We will have our sniffer dogs out searching in open fields and dams around Kempton.”
Stassen’s family is extra worried because she is diabetic and left all her medication at home.
She celebrated her 78th birthday last week Saturday.
If anyone has seen Stassen or has information regarding her whereabouts, contact warrant officer Nanyike on 076-646-1064, Kempton Park Police Station on 08600 10111 or Mtshali on 011 393 8611 and 082 778 9057.
