A well-known criminal suspect died and an elderly farm owner is in a serious condition after being shot three times during a dramatic armed robbery at a farm on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth late yesterday.
The 74-year-old owner of the farm Brakkenfontein in the greater Greenbushes area, Kobus du Toit, was last night in a serious but stable condition in a Nelson Mandela Bay hospital.
This was after he, his 72-year-old wife and an employee were attacked by four black men shortly before 4pm
